The Home Store originally opened in 2006 as Grandma's Attic on Asheville Highway. The next year in 2007, the Home Store moved to its flagship location on Main Street Hendersonville. As the Home Store operations grew along with Four Seasons, the team added Warehouse sales to assist with inventory logistics.
Thanks to strong leadership in both the Home Store and Foundation, the Home Store operations have seen tremendous growth in recent years. Warehouse sales increased to a sale every 4-6 weeks and in 2020, the second location on Long Shoals Rd was opened. Since the beginning, every dollar spent at the Home Store has gone directly back to patient care at Four Seasons so that we can continue providing the care you trust.
RETAIL DIRECTOR/GENERAL MANAGER
Bobby began with Four Seasons in 2016 as the Hospice Home Store Manager and truly enjoys making a difference within the community. Now as the Retail Director/General Manager, Bobby oversees both Home Stores and the Warehouse, as well as the many volunteers who faithfully work in the stores. By managing the Home Store through stewardship of donations given, building a strong volunteer team, and leading by example the Home Store is able to give back funds through the Foundation that directly impacts Four Seasons Hospice patients that may not have a pay source for their care.
Born and raised in Hendersonville, Bobby graduated from Hendersonville High School in 1988 and then attended Blue Ridge Community College. He worked 23 years in corporate retail with Walmart / Sam’s Club and was fortunate to remain within the local area the entire time. He worked his way up the ladder from beginning as a part-time sales associate in 1994, holding several management positions, and eventually being promoted to Store Manager. As the Store Manager, Bobby lead a team of 12 assistant managers and over 300 associates which became excellent training ground for his role at Four Seasons. His attention to detail, work ethic, and strong knowledge of merchandising has led to a very successful career.
As a child, Bobby rode his bicycle downtown to the same building (a Western Auto) where the Hospice Home Store sits today. When he started at Four Seasons, he even found some of the old wood shelving that was in the original Western Auto store and used them to build a new cash wrap counter for the Home Store. Repurposing the reclaimed wood pays honor to the rich history of our community and speaks to the heart of the Home Store operations.
Bobby has been married for 25 years to his wife Patti. They have 2 children together, Kaitlyn and Andrew, both of whom attend school in Hendersonville. Bobby enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his family, and being active in his local Church.
